Watch Scott's Sermon     I was born in Florence, AL in 1933.  My family moved to Russellville, AL where I attended elementary school and then moved back to Florence where I attended high school.  After high school I enlisted in the navy where I received electronics training, which prepared me for a career with IBM.

I met my wife, Sandy in Endicott, NY while I was in training with IBM.  We were married June 22, 1957. While we were living in Huntsville, AL, Sandy and I obeyed the Gospel and were baptized at the Fanning Heights Church of Christ August 1, 1965.

We have two grown children, Scott and Casie and two grandsons, Michael and Matthew.   Scott and his wife, Annette and Casie and her husband, Joe, are members at Manassas.  Michael lives in Sterling and Matthew is a student at Harding University.

I served as a deacon at the Hillcrest Church of Christ in Decatur, GA from 1968 to 1969 when IBM transferred me to the Washington area.  I helped start the Fairfax congregation and was appointed an elder there in 1975 and served there for 30 years.

Sandy and I came to Manassas in March 2005, and I was appointed an elder in March 2006.
