IN DADDY'S STEPS.
I watched him playing 'round my door,
My neighbor's little boy of four,
I wondered why a child would choose
To wear his dad's old worn out shoes?
I saw him try with all his might
To make the laces snug and tight,
I smiled to see him walk, and then
He'd only step right out again.
I hear him say, his voice so glad,
"I want to be just like my Dad."
i hoped his dad his steps would choose
Safe for his son to wear his shoes.
And then a shout and cry of joy,
A "Hello, dad," and a "Hi-ya, boy."
Then walked along in measured stride
Each face aglow with love and pride.
"What have you done today, my lad?"
"I tried to wear your old shoes, Dad.
They're big now, but when I am a man,
I'll wear your shoes, I know I can."
They stopped and stood there hand in hand,
He saw his son's tracks in the sand,
His words--a prayer--came back to me,
"Lord, let mey steps lead him to thee."

The above poem, "In Daddy's Steps", is one of the truest type that I have seen. I have witnessed my little boy with my shoes, and this poem brings tears to my eyes realizing how true it really is, and how great my responsibility is toward my children.
Not only is my children involved in my manner of life, but every soul that I come in contact with upon my pilgrim journey. Brethren, how sad it is to see brethren in Christ neglect such great and important opport-unties that we have before our own children and fellowmen in the world today. These are not just opportunities that come before us every day, but they are vital obligations intrusted to all of us that have named the name of Christ.
