In this section are various resources available to our Internet visitors, so that they can learn more about the heart and soul of the people who worship together here at Manassas. If you are new to the area, or will shortly be moving to our area, and are looking for a place to worship God, then we have compiled this resource about who we are and what we believe, so that you can make a preliminary informed choice. But until you come and spend some time with us, you will not understand totally whether what we do here will meet your needs, and the needs of your family. Choosing a place to worship is as important, if not more important that finding out about schools and shopping around your new area. So if you have any questions at all about what you need to know, please contact us.
Who are the Churches of Christ? [In the way of the First Century Church]
The answer to this is very simple, and to illustrate this I will give you the most prevalent comment or question by a person who first visits one of our Sunday morning services. Regarding that we sing our songs “A-cappella”, they will predictably ask the question: “Why don’t you have any music?”, that is to say without a choir, piano, organ, or any other musical instrument. The answer to this question is the answer to “Who we are”. There are scriptural reasons, but the real answer is that We are attempting to do things In the way of the First Century Church. That same visitor will see that we drink Grape Juice and eat pieces of unleavened bread weekly, in the way of the First Century Church, and we Baptize those who want to be new Christians by fully immersing them in water, in the way of the First Century Church, We have a plurality of elders and deacons as leaders of each individual church, in the way of the First Century Church. Everything that we do, we attempt to do in the way of the First Century Church. Please take the time to worship with us and ask your questions to someone attending.
